We still have more clean-up kits and bottled water for distribution at the Village Hall for those after-flood folks in need.
The Townships will be helping us with sandbag removal. We have to be patient as this was a wide-reaching flood event. Have sandbags at the roadside by the 16th.  Sandbags cannot be stored indefinitely or emptied on your property.
Well water testing is being offered free of charge from McHenry and Lake Counties, along with other services.

Mail for those whose mailboxes are inaccessible is being held at the Village Hall for pick up, unless you have notified them otherwise. Red Cross clean up kits and bottled drinking water are also available.

Prairieland will place extra totes at the waters edge of flooded sheets for flood victims only to place bagged garbage in.

Make sure to contact your insurance company for loss from the flood event as soon as possible. Automobile damage caused by flooding should also be reported to your insurance carrier.
