In order to ensure efficient public safety services to the Port Barrington community, police coverage is provided by McHenry and Lake County Sheriff Departments and augmened by contracting off-duty Deputies for additonal coverage.

In addition, the Village employs a Code Enforcement Officer to address local code violations.
