Health & Safety Trustee Brian Lawrence is thrilled to announce that Port Barrington has shown tremendous interest in forming a CERT team. Several weeks ago, we posted an informal message on Facebook to gauge community interest, and the feedback has been very positive. Now, it’s time to take the next step!
Please join us for an informational meeting about starting a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in Port Barrington! Date: Thursday, June 15 Time: 6:00 PM Location: Port Barrington’s Village Hall CERT is a volunteer program that empowers individuals to assist their communities during emergencies and disasters. We are delighted to have the Director of Wauconda CERT as our guest speaker, who will provide a brief overview of CERT and answer any questions you may have. During the meeting, we will discuss training and certification options available to interested participants. Participating in a CERT is an excellent opportunity to learn valuable skills and contribute to the safety and resilience of our Village. Oh, and did we mention? Pizza will be served! So come join us on June 15th at 6:00 PM in Port Barrington’s Village Hall to learn more about CERT and how you can get involved.
