LRS Waste Hauling Contract Renewal
After going through a standard bid process, residents of our Village received letters in their mailboxes announcing the award of our waste-hauling/recycling contract to LRS. After the 5-year life of a contract newly proposed fees have to accommodate the current costs of doing business. Of the three bids received, LRS provided the most reasonable bid in keeping with our current services. All three bids reflected increases—mostly due to the recent increase in landfill dumping fees. Additionally, LRS was willing to work in our annual Vehicle Tax for which you no longer will be billed separately through this next 5-year contract with LRS. Village Board had been searching a solution to move from in-house billing for quite some time. LRS’s billed franchise fee became a solution.
